A Rainy Christmas Eve's Eve
It's the time of year in Tennessee when we all fall in love...with anything but the weather!
This December has brought with it many warm wishes but no snow. We've had the weirdest weather this year and especially this season and I am not sure I like it! I need some frosty mornings where I can whip out the mittens and hand warmers as I blast Christmas music on the way to work. And some chilly nights to snuggle up and watch It's a Wonderful Life with some peppermint hot chocolate.
I'm not asking for snow (the last "white Christmas" I remember was probably over ten years ago here) but a little cold weather would be nice! Here's what the weather looks like for the next week here:
I don't think I've ever experienced a 73 degree Christmas. I guess now I know what Christmas in California is like! The rain hasn't dampened my Christmas spirit too much, though. I am just enjoying my hot cocoa in shorts rather than wrapped in blankets. And the bright side is I don't have any ice to scrape off of my windshield in the mornings!
Here are some of the fun activities I have done in spite of the warm weather like decorating trees, making ornaments, constructing gingerbread houses, the fantasy of trees, a Christmas concert, and wrapping gifts!
