The Satisfaction of Completion
"Have you ever made something you are really proud of and you just can't look away from it because you think it's so wonderful?"
I posted this as my Facebook status last week before my showcase and had such a welcome influx of well-wishes for the upcoming event. It surprised me but calmed me and boosted my confidence. Sometimes in the rush of life, I forget that I have so many supporters - so many people who will back me up and boost me onward.
The encouragement and love I felt from my friends and family on Friday was almost enough to bring me to tears. I mean showcase is a pretty big deal for school but in the grand scheme of things it means so little... And yet I was so nervous I could barely eat the day of! My friends by my side and in spirit made the stress melt away and instead I just had a great time showing my work to the reviewers and my peers.
So a huge thank you goes out to everyone who has supported me not just these past few months, but the past two years as I adventured to follow my heart into the world of graphic design. I can't thank you all enough!
With only one week of school left, I am excited to step into a new stage in life. It seems scary, but that's only because it is the unknown. Lucky for me, I have some awesome people and faith to support me every step of the way.
"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
-Hebrews 10:23-25 NIV
Hope your week is full of inspiration and creativity!
